I was out of town for the weekend. (Aretha still brings it. GREAT concert.) I was reminded of the only good thing I've ever discovered about living in a state dominated by one political party: We're not relentlessly subjected to inane, insulting (to the viewer) political ads. It would just be a waste of money. See! If you look hard enough, you can find
something to be grateful for.
Now that I am living in Nevada, I am finding fewer political ads on the air here. However, I think we should go to a European model and just let them duke it out for only 6 weeks. The longer the nasty ads play, my contempt for them all increases. Hope you have a good summer.

1) Thank you for the first comment to one of my posts!
Delete2) I like that idea. Maybe voter apathy is really voter fatigue. It seems that the campaigns begin with election results. And there's easily as much campaigning going on as there is governing.
